Community Outreach

Local businesses join in our social enterprise classes for guests to develop work skills.

Guests can get medical checkups from local students.

(During the COVID-19 pandemic, the shelter may occasionally go on a cohort model. It is recommended to always call in advance to check space and availability)

Resource Center:

  • Open Mon-Fri 10AM-4PM. Enter/exit along Grove Way

  • Provides assistance with finding housing, medical help, applying for jobs, Medi-Cal, Social Security, Disability, getting CA IDs, and more!

  • Provides lunch from 12pm-1pm

  • Showers and laundry available for guests

  • We have a second daytime resource center in South Hayward during weekdays!

Shelter:

50 beds available (18+ only) - registered guests guaranteed; please call in advance 510-634-4750

  • Enter/exit along Grove Way

  • Guests allowed on campus at 6pm, shelter opens at 6:30PM

  • All guests sign code of conduct and fill out an intake form upon entry

  • 50 beds (floor mat and sleeping bag)

  • Dinner served at 6:30pm, breakfast at 6:00AM

  • No in/out privileges after 10PM

  • Animals allowed with proper leashes/cages at night, dependent on behavior

  • We have a second shelter in South Hayward that can house 18 guests/night

 
 

Tiny Homes:

  • We have 6 Tiny Homes on our campus and are actively working with Firm Foundation Housing to add more to the Bay Area!

  • Tiny Homes residents must go through a background check, have a monthly income of at least $1,200, and agree to be in our program to find permanent housing.

  • Tiny Homes are meant to be transitional housing; residents can stay up to 18 months with rent from $200-$800.

Parkout Program:

Our Parkout Program includes access to a portable handwashing station and toilet, overnight security, and access to a housing navigator to help support you in getting permanent housing.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Be technically homeless

  • Have a valid Driver’s License and current vehicle registration

  • Be a single person or couple living in your car*

*We cannot accept RVs, buses, or converted vans.
